This year for my big 65th birthday, I am participating in the WALK 4 Hope to raise funds and awareness for the Hope Fund that supports one of my favorite programs at World Hope International - Enable the Children (ETC). ETC provides in-home and clinic physical therapy, love and support to children in Sierra Leone living with disabilities. I am supporting children like Adamsay, a beautiful girl that had bone tuberculosis in spine (or spinal tuberculosis), causing her to bend so that she had to walk with her hands on the floor, and was consequently being used by her family to beg for money. The Enable the Children (ETC) team met her in that very situation in 2015. Adamsay was given TB medication, specific exercise to improve her life, a wheelchair and was even provided sponsorship allowing her to attend school. She has now had spinal surgery, giving her hope for an easier life.
My goal for my birthday week is to walk and cycle 150 miles in honor of ETC and children like Adamsay and raise $2,000. Will you help me achieve this goal by contributing and sharing this page with your family and friends? Every dollar I raise will advance World Hope International's great cause! Additionally, you can join me on the trails. Together, we can make a difference!
